A zine developed and made in collaboration with a group of women from North Manchester, as part of four workshops held at No.93 Church Lane, Harpurhey where participants had the chance to develop their own magazine ideas.
Inspired by indie magazine editor Josh Jones’ most recent book ‘Just Make Your Magazine’ and Ella’s experience designing and creating her own magazine 1922 North Manchester, the workshops were designed to open up each person to the world of possibilities in indie publishing as well as the importance of physical media in a digital age.
Over 4 sessions we collaged and made moodboards, got the chance to do some film and digital photography and spoke about ethics, had a go at some creative writing and designed this magazine together. This magazine documents the process and the amazing ideas each person came up with.
